Pie
One of our most well loved desserts...we use only pure Musang King or D101 durian (depending on availability). Durian lovers will appreciate the generous amount of durian pulp encased in a Valrhona cocoa tart shell topped with a delightful layer of Belgian chocolate ganache. A fabulous celebration of the King of Fruits!
Please allow 3 days' notice for this pie. The pie is sold unadorned, you may order macarons or other garnishes from our Add-Ons menu.
This is a handmade product, garnishes may differ and may be substituted according to availability.
Storage/handling
Durians have the most unpredictable and short shelf life. This mud pie must be consumed on the day of purchase and kept in a chilled environment away from direct sunlight. Please do not leave it in the car whilst you go for meetings or shopping. This pie deserves proper treatment, and that is eating it as soon as possible with a good cup of coffee or tea. :) We cannot guarantee it will last beyond the day...if you can stop yourself from finishing it!
Important Note: Durian is extremely sensitive to heat! Please handle with care when transporting the cake and keep cake box upright in a cool air conditioned car away from direct sunlight. If travelling with cake for more than 1 hour, we recommend storing the cake box in a cooler bag and cooler packs (both sold separately) or cooler box with ice bag/cooler packs.
Packaging
Cake is packed in a standard white cardboard cake box. Please note that the cake box may soften when placed in a chiller due to the moisture level within.
